About us
We're three friends who'd had an idea rattling around our heads for a long time: to make a game we'd actually want to play ourselves.
Not “just another game”, and not a copy
We didn't want to make “just another game”, or copy what already works. We were after something easy to pick up, quick to enjoy and with enough personality to make you say “okay, one last round”.
A game to play with friends, trash-talk, compete and, with a bit of luck, build a community around.
Basements, terraces and long walks
Horseback Gunslinger was born out of countless conversations: in basements, on terraces, walking down the street… along with plenty of absurd ideas that, luckily, never made it out of there. We've tried concepts, thrown others away, backtracked and started over more times than we'd like to admit.
Until we landed on something surprisingly simple: the duel.
Face to face
Two players, face to face. Each with their own weapons, riders, tricks and way of playing.
We've built all of Horseback Gunslinger around that idea. We want to bring back that classic feeling of going head to head with another player: learning how they play, reading them, surprising them and demanding a rematch the moment the last shot lands. Straightforward, easy-to-grasp gameplay, with enough depth that no two duels are the same.
Three strangers with big plans
We're a tiny team — literally three friends — but our ambitions are a lot bigger than our headcount. We want Horseback Gunslinger to keep evolving and, above all, to evolve together with the people who play it.
The saloon is open
That's why we want to hear from you from day one. You can already write to us at hello@horseback-gunslinger.com and tell us what you like, what you don't, what you'd change, the ridiculous rider you've dreamed up or that mechanic you're sure we need to add.
We can't promise to build every idea we receive. What we can promise is to read them, argue about them among ourselves and take them seriously. If something makes Horseback Gunslinger more fun for everyone, we want to know.
Your time is worth its weight in gold
In the end, there's something we value enormously: your time. Between work, studies, family and a game library none of us will probably ever finish, the minutes you choose to spend playing matter.
